In late 2008, MiNet started to document the early pressures on BAME organisations as a result of the recession. From this MiNet produced a joint report with Race on the Agenda which highlighted the specific and disproportionate impact on London's BAMER Third Sector. Since then, MiNet have been working to raise awareness of the pressures faced by BAME organisations and communities as a result of the economic downturn. This has included:

In 2010, MiNet opened its survey to monitor the impact of public spending cuts on London's BAME Third Sector and population. MiNet has already documented emerging patterns in the area of health, crime, education, children and young people and elderly.
