ROTA is pleased to announce the appointment of Michaela Queensborough as the new Service Development Manager. Michaela joined the ROTA team on 2 December 2024.
A strategic changemaker and activist, Michaela Queensborough has been disrupting oppressive systems and structures for over a decade, with her activism honoured in Violet Simon’s “Disruptors.” A Black feminist leader named among 100 influential Black and Brown women in the VAWG sector, she champions innovative solutions to homelessness through a racial justice lens, centering lived experience to drive systemic change.
Combining academic expertise with grassroots activism, Michaela creates inclusive spaces where lived experience shapes policy and practice. In the spirit of Audre Lorde’s wisdom, she believes that “collective action is the cornerstone of liberation.” Her approach focuses on co-production, community-led solutions, and authentic anti-racist practice to drive meaningful social change.
She is delighted to be joining ROTA in taking up the baton to co-create a more just and equitable Britain.
