Building Bridges is ROTA's youth-led research and policy project into gangs, weapon use and serious youth violence. It began in 2006, and for two years developed a youth-led research study which produced a literature review, evidenced based research report and a DVD. The findings of the study were launched at a youth-led conference: to download a copy of the post conference report please click here.
The Building Bridges Project was awarded the 'Making the Peace' Award at the London Peace Awards 2008 and was shortlisted for the Unboxed Awards 2008.
The Building Bridges Team is made up of young volunteers and have delivered work in partnership with a variety of organisations: Boyhood to Manhood Foundation, Independent Academic Research Studies (IARS), Foundation 4 Life, Choice FM (Peace on the Streets), Street Weapons Action Team (SWAT) and In-Volve (Little Miss Raw).
