During the COVID-19 outbreak, ROTA is endeavouring to continue our work with volunteers, to support their education needs and to give them experience of working on specific projects and campaigns remotely for example, while our office is closed.
ROTA provides training in research methods, experience of running events, assisting with projects and learning about human rights, race equality and issues affecting people from BAME communities. We want to continue to support volunteers during this difficult time, through online learning, discussion groups and one-to-one mentoring and supervision.
ROTA is seeking to expand its volunteer programme by involving more young people in its work doing research, event organisation and promotion. This programme will help them improve their skills and provide valued experience working in the voluntary sector and with a policy research organisation.
We are always looking to recruit new volunteers who are passionate about racial equality, and are keen to develop their skillset within a leading Voluntary Sector social policy organisation. Any volunteering opportunities will be advertised on this page. However; if there are no current opportunities we encourage you to complete and submit the form below. This will allow us to keep your information on our database and contact you as soon as opportunities arise that align with your outlined skills and knowledge. ROTA’s volunteer programme is open to all, and every application will be considered irrespective of the applicant's ethnicity, gender, religion, disability, age or sexual orientation.
