Chief Executive | Matthew Johnson

Matthew is the Chief Executive of ROTA. Responsible for the overall management of the organisation. With significant experience in policy research, Matthew has a deep understanding of the voluntary sector, bringing valuable insights that shapes the strategic vision and drive impactful solutions.

Operations Manager | Saifur Valli

Saifur manages the day-to-day operations, governance support and financial admin support. With a strong IT background, Saifur oversees the IT infrastructure of the organisation and provides tech support to staff.

Finance Manager | Besa Hasaj

As Finance Manager, Besa is responsible for overseeing end-to-end finance operations of the organisation, financial planning and analysis, and works closely with the Chief Executive, Operations Manager and Auditor in producing annual accounts.

Training and Engagement Manager | Taranjit Chana

Taranjit is our Training and Engagement Manager, working on the Community Research Partnership Project, funded by Propel London.

Dr Kulvinder Nagre | Research and Policy Coordinator

Kulvider is our Research and Policy Coordinator. Working on the Community Research Partnership Project, Kulvinder manages a team of community researchers.

Michaela Queensborough | Service Development Manager

Michaela is s Service Development Manager, working on our Housing project, funder by Oak Foundation.

Communications and Policy Officer | Deeqo Shire

Deeqo is our Communications and Policy Officer. With a strong passion for anti-racism and equity she leads on ROTA Communcations and Policy work. Deeqo brings experience from leading creative agencies, where she worked at the intersection of storytelling, social change, and strategy.

Volunteer Researcher | Eleanor Stokes

Eleanor is a Research Associate at ROTA. She is a Social Scientist specialising in research methods and education policy. Her work with ROTA addresses inequalities and discrimination in the UK education and higher education systems.

ROTA Associate | Dahaba Ali Hussen

Dahaba Ali Hussen is a journalist and researcher with a decade of experience working at the intersection of media, policy, and social justice. A graduate of the University of Cambridge, she began her career as a political journalist and has since reported for the BBC, The GuardianThe Financial Times, and The Bureau of Investigative Journalism, among others. Her investigative work has focused on structural inequalities and has consistently amplified underrepresented voices.
