Ali Ahmed

Ali Ahmed is a seasoned leader with over 26 years of experience in local government and the voluntary sector, with a strong focus on racial justice, equity, poverty reduction, and community empowerment. He has a proven track record of designing and delivering impactful programmes that address critical social and economic challenges faced by Black and Global Majority (BGM) communities and the organisations that serve them.

As Programme Manager at The Ubele Initiative since May 2022, Ali has been at the forefront of fostering innovation and collaboration to address critical social issues impacting Black and racialised communities.

Ali has been actively involved with ROTA since 2007, where he has served in various leadership roles, including Vice-Chair and currently Chair since May 2010.

Ali is also a Fellow of the Royal Society for Arts (FRSA), underscoring his dedication to advancing social innovation and community resilience.
