We continue our work on racial equity in housing post the passing of the Renters Rights Act. We will continue to monitor and discuss its impact on Black and Global Majority communities across various platforms.
While there are, of course, some positive steps in the right direction with this legislation, significant gaps remain— particularly where racial inequality and discrimination continue to shape people’s experiences.
Although the Act has passed, the work is not over, and we will continue to push for better legislation to enable a more just housing system.
