This is just the beginning – there will be more opportunities to join us in shaping the future of housing justice.

A special shout-out to ROTA’s Community Research Programme (RCRP), who are kicking off recruitment for their Class of 2025! We’re looking for researchers ready to explore the ways structural racism impacts their communities, with a sharp focus on housing and health and wellbeing as our themes for this year. A Sneak Peek at What’s Ahead
Our Advisory Group will dive deep into the racial justice housing sector, exploring opportunities for impact and systemic change. Rooted in insights from our community (thank you for the Slido feedback!), our Advisory Group and Asociate members will tackle critical issues like:
- Looking inwardly at navigating complex housing systems
- Racial discrimination in policies
- Institutional accountability and narrative change
- They’ll also engage in policy and influencing mapping, refining long-term solutions that amplify lived experiences and strengthen tenant rights. Through community-led research and co-designed interventions, we’re committed to addressing these challenges head-on.
We’re excited to share that the first Advisory Group meeting kicks off on Wednesday, 23rd April 2025. Meeting summaries will be made available, and we’ll be inviting you to share your reflections as part of our collective journey toward racial housing justice.
