Tamil oral history project exhibition dates extended

For those who were unable to make it to the Tamil oral history project exhibition at Hounslow Library, we are delighted to announce that the Tamil Community Centre will be hosting the project exhibition between 28 January and 8 February.

The exhibition will be open Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 3:00pm at the Tamil Community Centre, Hounslow. The exhibition will be closed on Wednesdays.

Free Schools: Free to continue?

The Coalition Government has widely promoted free schools as part of a process to eradicate unequal opportunities. Findings from Race on the Agenda (ROTA) suggest that participation from Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities (BAME), who are amongst some of the most acutely disadvantaged in education, is notably lacking.

Free two day training: Using the Equality Act 2010 to promote race equality for children and young people in Hackney

19th and 20th November 2012, Springfield House, Hackney

This training is part of a range of activity being delivered in response to discussions at the 2011/12 Shaping the Future: Race and racism in 21st century Britain seminar series. Participants will be supported to take action against the key inequalities facing children and young people highlighted at the Hackney seminar.
