ROTA's Employment Rights project aims to empower BMER communities to come together and find ways of combating workplace exploitation and discrimination through awareness raising, generating discussion, and demonstrating the power of collective action. Through a series of events bringing together various agents such as legal experts, Trade Unions, community representatives, and grassroots organisations, the project seeks to address the inequalities BMER people face in the workplace as well as the knowledge-gaps and uncertainties produced by Brexit and changing employment practices. One of the key areas of concern is the increase in precarious labour amongst BMER communities.
