Dr William Ackah holds a PhD in Government from the University of Manchester. He currently works as a Lecturer in Community and Voluntary Sector Studies at Birkbeck College University of London. William previously worked as a Widening Participation Officer at University of Bristol and Equalities and Diversity Manager for Learning and Skills Council. William was a co-founder and member of the Black Education Action Network. A group of education specialists and community activists working on initiatives to raise aspirations and educational attainment in black communities William was a Board member of the Challenging Attitudes Partnership Gloucester; HMP Risley Warrington; and Granby Toxteth Partnership.
