Journey to Justice exhibition 15th April - 10th June 2019

The Journey to Justice Islington multimedia exhibition is hosted by Resource for London on Holloway Road from 15th April to 10th June 2019 with an associated free public events programme, also at other locations across the borough with various partner organisations, including talks, walks, film screenings, creative workshops, storytelling and more.

The exhibition explores how advances in the protection of rights are hard won and cannot be taken for granted. Taking inspiration from the US Civil Rights movement, UK and Islington's struggles for freedom and justice, Journey to Justice Islington tells stories of the less well-known women, men and children who were involved, making transnational links between historical and current social justice actions for change and exploring the factors that are essential for a human rights movement to succeed.

Partners include Islington Museum, Islington Guided Walks, ROTA, Islington People's Rights, Ringcross Community Centre and involving events and activities created by local people including students from London Met Uni and CANDI.
