Tamilgenerations.rota.org.uk is a multimedia record of the one-year Tamil oral history project conducted and narrated by different generations of Sri Lankan Tamils in London.
The film vignettes, interview snippets and images featured on the site recast some of the extraordinary stories of individuals interviewed for the project and paint an historical canvas for the routes and trajectories of Sri Lankan Tamil migration and settlement in London.
The website, designed by Lamb + Sea, is part of a larger archival project conducted by a large team of volunteers, partners and staff, to be deposited at the London Metropolitan Archives in Central London. The project was made possible with the support of the National Lottery through the Heritage Lottery Fund.
