Dr Elizabeth Henry joined ROTA as Interim Chief Executive in May 2010. She is also a self-employed consultant who develops and delivers a range of equality and diversity programmes in the areas of
- compliance: policy to practice
- training: needs assessment and analysis
- individual coaching/mentoring and support
- service delivery audits and assessment
- research and development
- community engagement and capacity building
Elizabeth said: "I'm delighted to be joining ROTA at this time. There are certainly challenges ahead for BAME communities and the organisations which support them. I'm confident that our dedicated team will continue to deliver high quality work for ROTA, and ensure that we're able to keep inequalities high on the social policy agenda."
As an external consultant Elizabeth has worked in diverse settings with both public and private sector organisations internationally, nationally, regionally and locally.
Ali Ahmed, Acting Chair of ROTA's Board of Trustees said: "We are very pleased to have appointed Dr Elizabeth Henry as interim CEO. Elizabeth brings with her a wealth of experience across continents and unparalleled commitment to achieving race equality, as well as strategic experience of the Third Sector."
Elizabeth previously worked for Enfield and Haringey Health Authority as Assistant Director/Public Health Specialist. She has also worked in Texas USA for Fort Bend Family Health Centre as Director of Public Health.
Elizabeth is Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Selby Trust.
