Head of Policy: Pavan Dhaliwal
Pavan Dhaliwal has worked in equalities and human rights for over five years, currently the Head of Policy at the leading race equality and human rights social policy think tank, Race on the Agenda (ROTA).
Pavan was also the interim director of REALLITY, a charity working to tackle gang crime in London, led on policy for the 1990 Trust and a founding member of the social justice initiative Equanomics UK - working with the Reverend Jesse Jackson and his team of advisors to lobby for and research the link between equity and economics for BAME communities. Pavan has worked as a consultant writing speeches for high profile speakers on issues around human rights, equalities and race.
Pavan's academic background is in history and languages and she has worked as a writer for publications in Asia and the Middle East and worked on research projects in Rwanda and Lebanon. She is currently a trustee for the South Asian charity Asian Aid, a volunteer at the AIDS project and a mentor.
