MiNet News and Activities

MiNet is engaged in a number of issues relating to regional policy development and London's BAME third sector. Under current funding arrangements MiNet is working with its Advisory Group around BAME infrastructure, the recession and the Single Equality Bill.

MiNet Policy Areas:

MiNet is involved in raising the profile and importance of BAME infrastructure. This has involved representation, brokerage and coordination.

MiNet has been raising awareness of the increased difficulties faced by London's BAME third sector and BAME population as a result of the economic downturn.

MiNet has been working closely with the policy team at ROTA disseminating information to raise awareness of the developments taking place surrounding the Single Equality Bill.

 
 

MiNet Advisory Group recruitment

MiNet is pleased to announce that it is now recruiting for two Advisory Group members who are prepared to commit to attend four meetings per year. Please take a look at the Terms of Reference and Memorandum of Understanding for MiNet's Advisory Group. If you are interested in applying answer the three questions listed in the Application Form.

MiNet's Information Bulletin

Advertising in MiNet's Information Bulletin is free to MiNet members who are based in and serving directly London's BAME communities. MiNet's Information Bulletin is sent out mid-monthly at 10 intervals during the calendar year, all insertions must be received by 13th of every month. BAME organisations are guaranteed an advert in the Information Bulletin and subject to space and relevance of subject non-BAME organisations may also be able to publicise their information.

To advertise in MiNet's Information Bulletin you must be a MiNet member. Membership to MiNet is free to all organisations. If you are not registered as a MiNet member and would like to advertise in MiNet's Information Bulletin please click here to become a member.
