Keiko Okawa

Keiko currently works for the London Borough of Tower Hamlets as a Senior Strategy Policy and Performance Officer.  Her responsibilities include ensuring decisions are made with a consideration of equalities as required by the Equality Act 2010 and analysing and projecting demand for various services that the Council provides.

She is a strategist, and policy and business analyst with over 20 years’ of experience working on local governance and community development at the local, regional, national and international level in various countries.  She researched and/or experienced in the partnership between the public sector, and voluntary and community organisations, decentralisation and, education and training.

Keiko holds a PhD in international development and is working towards an MBA at the Open University.

She is also active at volunteering work for local community organisations.
